2016 Varsity Basketball v ANC
Bourama Sidibe had a pair of dunks, a steal, one rebound and one block, while scoring 8 points. And that was just in the first 2:28 of action for the Gray Bee senior, who helped St. Benedict’s open the season with a convincing, 82-42, victory over the Academy New Church (Pa.) on Wednesday in Dalton Gym.
Sidibe, who recently signed with Syracuse University, finished with 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting, seven rebounds and six blocks. Fellow senior and the only other starter from last year’s 35-2 team, Jayden Saddler, contributed with 14 points. Freshman Noah Farrakhan had 8 points to go along with 7 assists and sophomore Andre Toure chipped in with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
